strawberries and vanilla

Strawberry Vanilla Lip Balm

What could be better then Strawberries combined with Vanilla?  Lip balms are one of my favorite things to make, the ingredients are relatively simple and easy to come by and it takes only minutes to make!  I have made plenty of mint and lemon balm, even some with honey and ginger, but I hadn’t ever tried to get the flavor and scent of a fruit such as strawberry.

That was until I discovered freeze dried strawberries…

these are not like your typical dried fruit, that is more raisin like…these are crunchy…more like banana chips.

1 TB Shea Butter
2 TB Strawberry Infused Oil
1/2 TB Castor Oil
1 TB Bees Wax Petals
1/2 TB Vanilla Infused Oil

*For more information about how to make infused oils check out my post Making Infused Oils.

Next;

Combine Shea Butter, Infused Oils (except for the 20 drops), Castor Oil & Bees Wax in a glass jar & place into about 2″ of water.  Heat over medium/low heat, stirring consistently until everything is melted.

Turn off the heat and add the 20 drops of Infused Oils.  Stir to combine and than pour into lip balm tins.
